CzechSpecials Discover the truth of the popular Czech saying “Love passes through the stomach”. The project brings together and supports restaurants that offer traditional, honest Czech gastronomy with a modern approach and guaranteed quality. If you choose a restaurant labelled with a blue-and-white sticker with the CzechSpecials sign, you will discover the diversity of Czech cuisine, the specifics and specialities of the individual regions, the uniqueness of meals and the manner of their preparation from local sources. Part of the certification is also a guarantee of a pleasant atmosphere and high-quality services. Guaranteed by the Czech Association of Hotels and Restaurants, and the Association of Chefs and Confectioners of the Czech Republic. ▪ www.czechspecials.cz

The Phenomenon of Beer In the Czech Republic, beer is referred to as “liquid bread”. In recent years, there are a growing number of small and family breweries supplementing traditional brands; one could say that the Czech Republic is experiencing a boom in microbreweries. In addition to spontaneous visits to pubs and restaurants that often include a brewhouse, and beer is thus brewed literally in front of your eyes, special beer trails and beer tourist trails are also multiplying... For example, the South Bohemian Beer Trail connects six industrial breweries and eleven microbreweries. When travelling along the trails, not only will you taste various kinds of beers, but you will also be able to see the technical background of the breweries. Don't forget that the promised lands of beer are particularly the areas around Pilsen and Žatec. In addition, exceptional service is also offered by a fast-growing number of beer spas, where you can try beer baths, wraps, and massages, but also drink beer. The aim is to harmonise the body, as well as physical and mental relaxation. Many parts of the country also host a wide variety of beer festivities and festivals, and you can visit several museums focusing on the history of beer production and drinking (for example,

the Hop Museum and the Temple of Hops and Beer in Žatec). ▪ www.czechtourism.com/a/beer-and-wine-spas ▪ chchp.cz Great aids in orientation among attractive locations connected with Czech beer include: Map of Industrial and Craft Breweries and Beer Guide to Prague ▪ ww.prague.eu/file/edee/universal/download/ w brozury/the-beer-guide-to-prague.pdf

Moravian Wine Trails In turn, South Moravia is a land promised to wine. In addition to wine festivities, festivals, and harvest, you can, for example, journey along one of the many wine trails. Ten circuits and a total of 1,200 km of trails will guide you through a picturesque landscape among vineyards, through distinctive villages and historical towns, alleys consisting of nothing but wine cellars, and often, underground to cellars with giant barrels and a millennium-long tradition of wine production. Hundreds of branches streak off the arterial Moravian Wine Trail, where you are guaranteed to find good wine, beautiful landscapes, and, above all, interesting, distinctive, and hospitable people, who have dedicated their lives to wine. ▪ www.stezky.cz A great help in orientation among attractive locations of Moravian wine tourism is the brochure Moravian Wine Trails ▪ www.czechtourism.com/s/wine-trails/ You can also download the useful app Czech Republic Wine Trails.
