The natural therapeutic spring produces iodine-bromine water, mineral water which is reminiscent of strongly mineralised sea water and is one of the highestquality sources of its kind in Europe. It is drawn from an impressive depth of 1,250 metres, from a cave where remains of the Tertiary Sea have been preserved for millions of years. Lednice water helps to cure problems with the musculoskeletal and circulatory system, neurological disorders, and even gynaecological disorders and post-burn conditions. The comfortable and modern spa is equipped with a gym, fitness centre, sauna and swimming pool with a whirlpool and counter-current pool. Operation is adapted to the individual seasons. Over 100 spa procedures are on offer. The spa also includes an amphitheatre, where a range of cultural events are held, including the ceremonial opening of the spa season on the first Saturday of May.
By Carriage and Boat for Good Wine One of the biggest benefits of the Lednice Spa is the exceptionally attractive surrounding area. No other spa in the country, or in Europe for that matter, can offer anything like it. It lies in the very heart of the largest humancreated landscape area on the continent, the Lednice-Valtice complex, which has been protected by UNESCO since 1996. The splendid area of abundant water flowing silently through riparian forests, meandering in charming bends of the river Dyje, gleaming in artificially created canals and in a chain of ponds, is complemented by harmoniously incorporated buildings of summer residences, colonnades, artificial ruins, bridges and even a lookout minaret. The keystones of the complex are two chateaux – Lednice and Valtice. Lednice Château, built in a style imitating Tudor Gothic, is connected to the spa by a modern colonnade. You
