Tourism in the Czech Republic Product Lines The Czech Republic is represented by four product lines:
1) Cultural Tourism 2) Active Tourism 3) Spas and Medical Tourism 4) MICE The product lines are based on the main motivation of our target segments, and align both with the demand of tour operators and the supply of our business partners and the regions themselves. The individual product lines complement each other, and together they create a powerful synergetic effect with considerable pro-business potential. This year’s Cultural Tourism product line primarily focuses on selected cities, chateaux and castles. Regional cities as gateways to the regions have a high potential in tourism, just like the selected chateaux and castles as jewels of regions. Both offer a wide range of adventure, from historic to modern architectural sites, through unusual expositions, fun parks, events and festivals, attractive countryside, regional gastronomy, to the opportunities to learn about the lifestyle of young and creative people in the Czech Republic.
The product line Spas offers traditional treatment processes of the oldest European spas in connection with the natural therapeutic resources guaranteed by the indications list of the Ministry of Health – mineral springs, peat, natural gas, and climate. Czech spas are evenly distributed throughout the country, and thus offer a diverse range of treatment options. The Czech spa industry is characterised by worldclass experts and by high quality of treatment guaranteed by international certifications (EuropeSpa, EuropeSpa med, TÜV SÜD, ISO standards, etc.). The product Medical Tourism represents a high standard of treatments provided in combination with short waiting times and affordable prices. The Spas and Medical Tourism product line offers two exceptionally interesting spa places within a diverse range: from one of the most famous spa town in Moravia to the youngest spa in the Czech Republic. All the recommended Czech spas are of the highest global renown with international quality certification. The offer of spa and wellness services is accompanied with interesting trips, both educational and entertaining. The MICE product line is provided by the Czech Convention Bureau. Its main purpose is to promote the Czech Republic effectively as an ideal destination for holding conferences and incentive events.
The product line Active Tourism represents a top-class range of services in the field of golf. Czech Mountains and mountain resorts with very good infrastructure both in summer and winter seasons offer a varied programme, especially for families with children. Czech Trails represent a wide range of sports options, a dense network of walking and cycling markers, long-distance cycling routes connected to the European network, and wine trails. This year’s Active Tourism product line primarily focuses on five selected regions that provide excellent opportunities for pleasant cycling in the first place, and on six selected destinations for skiing and winter activities. They are destinations that attract with both the diversity and ruggedness of the countryside, and with the historic sites and other leisure time opportunities, as well as very good infrastructure and additional services.
