Velká pardubická with Česká pojišťovna

Velká pardubická is a horse race (cross-country steeplechase) held every second Sunday in October at the Pardubice Racecourse. The race day comprises 8 races. The highlight is the oldest and most difficult race in continental Europe. Horses ridden by the best jockeys from around the world attempt to conquer the race track, which is 6,900 m in length, and has a total of 31 obstacles. This is a sporting and social event with the longest tradition in the Czech Republic (144 years), which enjoys great popularity with the public, celebrities, top Czech political leaders, and important foreign guests. ▪ www.vpcp.cz
