Built in 1929, Danone’s Ukraine-based plant originally processed 600 tons of milk per year. Following a plant reconstruction in 1986, its capacity increased and following further expansions and the installation of new modern processing lines, it became the first plant in the Ukraine to produce milk in PET bottles in 2004. Today the plant processes 50,000 tones of milk, butter and lactic-acid products annually. Run by joint venture company ‘Danone Unimilk’ since 2010, the plant is now being further improved with the construction of a new product development complex. ACO was asked to design and install the drainage system for this new facility based on the strength of its product offer, its expertise and its existing relationship with Danone in the Ukraine and in other European countries. The ACO solution comprised its fully pickle passivated ACO PIPE®, ACO 157 and 218 stainless steel Hygienic Gullies, and an Oleopator-C oil separators. MAP WWW
