Brands’ and is now the world’s second largest restaurant chain. As of December 2103, the business operated 18,875 KFC outlets located in 118 countries. A truly global brand, KFC has a strong network of franchisees across the world including the Ukrainian Food Company Ltd and Testi Food Ltd which operate KFC franchises in the Ukraine. The Ukrainian Food Company and Tesi Foods approached ACO when they were looking to build new KFC outlets in two of the country’s shopping centres based in Kiev and Dnipropetrovsk. Appointed to handle the project because of the quality of ACO products and the availability of stock, ACO specified fixed height and telescopic versions of its ACO 157 Hygienic Gully, ACO Mesh Grating and ACO box channel. All products were fully pickle passivated as standard to ensure corrosion free joints and optimise durability while the gully ranges specified benefitted from hygienic design features including large radii formed contours, deep-drawn components and minimal welds to minimise bacteria traps.
