There is an inexhaustible number of tourist routes leading to attractive points of interest through picturesque nature. The mountains in the region are connected by a ridge trail called Hřebenovka - the Ridgeway, which runs from Bohemian-Saxon Switzerland all the way to the Krkonoše Mountains. The best-known route of Bohemian Paradise is the Golden Path, which goes past timbered houses, medieval castles, majestic chateaux, technical monuments and lookout towers of different constructions and heights. The path takes you to precious natural locations, rock towns and romantic valleys. It has an overall length of 119 km and runs from Mladá Boleslav, passing Mnichovo Hradiště, the Drábské světničky ruins, Kost Castle, Trosky Castle, Hrubá Skála, Turnov, Frýdštejn, and Kozákov all the way to Jičín. The Jizera Mountains are a great place for family holidays as well as for active tourism with lookout towers, peat bogs, rock observation points with far-reaching views, waterfalls, beech forests and picturesque mountain villages. The tourist routes and educational trails in the Lusatian Mountains present the beauty of the flora and fauna, inform visitors about the region´s history and also about the craftsmanship of the local glass masters. Tourists admire the far-reaching views, uniquef lora and fauna, stone paths and the best-known peaks in the Krkonoše Mountains. It is important to remember that the majority of the region is situated within the Krkonoše National Park, therefore, it is necessary to abide by the visitors’ rules. There is an increasing number of routes that are suitable for disabled tourists as well as for families with small children and prams, and for elderly people. The Liberec Region also attracts cycle tourists. Not only exacting cyclists, but also families with children. It is possible to use the summer cycle-buses that take cycle tourists to mountain areas. The main route in Bohemian Paradise is the Greenway Jizera cycle trail, which runs along the middle stretch of the Jizera River. The Jizerská magistrála trail, which was originally established for crosscountry skiing, but a large part of which runs on groomed paths, the Odra-Nisa long-distance international cycle route, which goes all the way to the Baltic Sea, the Ploučnice and Varhany cycling paths the Českolipsko region, or the more demanding routes and long downhill rides in the Krkonoše Mountains. Adrenaline levels will be raised at the bike park on Mt. Ještěd, in Harrachov or Rokytnice nad Jizerou. Especially the Českolipsko region and Bohemian Paradise are a paradise for water sports. It offers water skiing in Stráž pod Ralskem, yachting and windsurfing on Máchovo Lake and water tourism on the Jizera, Nisa, and Ploučnice Rivers. Kristýna Lake, the Hamerské and Mácha Lake, Radvanecký rybník pond and the area around the Holanské rybníky ponds are popular recreation resorts as well as swimming in the Podtrosecké rybníky ponds, Jinolice and Branžež.
