Čechy pod Košířem Chateau This originally Renaissance stronghold was rebuilt at the beginning of the 18th century into a Baroque four-winged castle. In the first half of the 19th century, the castle gained its contemporary Classicist form. The castle residence became a favourite place for significant Czech painter Josef Mánes who between 1849 and 1871, created over one hundred works of art here. The adjacent castle park, covering an area of 21.5 ha, is among the most valuable romantic landscapes in the Czech Republic.
