The skeleton was composed from the remains of several individuals, the larger part is a copy of a male individual from the Bear Cave in the Western Tatras, the original of which is held by the Slovak Museum of Nature Conservation and Caving in Liptovský Mikuláš. These bones are coloured a light whitish-yellow, just like the original in Slovakia. The medium grey is the colour of the 3D prints of the bones found in the Moravian Karst, and the dark grey colour represents bones that were computer-generated from incomplete bones, female bones or by modifying the bones of a related species of large felid - the lion. Some were drawn completely by computer. The creation and display of the 3D lion in 2018 was made possible with the cooperation and assistance of the Museum in Liptovský Mikuláš and the Digitisation Centre of the Slovak National Uprising Museum in Banská Bystrica. The whole assembly represents the skeleton of an individual that weighed more than 300 kg and hunted wild horses, reindeer and other ungulates, including the largest ones, in the valleys under the Tatras or in the Moravian Karst about 50 thousand years ago.
