Karlovarský kraj Kynžvart In the place of an older Renaissance era house was in late 17th century erected a new Baroque style house which was once more remodelled from 1821 to 1839 by Pietro Nobile in the style of Viennese Neoclassicism. Chancellor Metternich acquired for Kynžvart a unique collection of coins, manuscripts, minerals and curiosities from the last Cheb town executioner and collector Karel Huss. The Kynžvart library is one of the most signifi cant aristocratic libraries and the biggest collections of incunables in the country. The house received a European Heritage Label and won the cultural heritage aimed Europa Nostra Award.
