Moravskoslezský kraj Janovice u Rýmařova The late Gothic fort of the Žerotín House, later rebuilt in Renaissance forms by the President of the Court Chamber Ferdinand Hoffmann of Grünbüchel, was acquired by Count Ferdinand Bonaventura z Harrach in 1721. In the mid-18th century, the chateau was expanded by the large Baroque part with the grand hall and many luxurious rooms. In the second half of the 19th century, the chateau became the main seat of the Moravian part of the Harrach House, represented especially by economist, philanthropist and friend of Franz Ferdinand D’Este, Count František Harrach. The long-neglected heritage site is still waiting for a sensitive restoration. +420 777 427 002 janovice@npu.cz www.zamek-janoviceurymarova.cz
