Plzeňský kraj Červené Poříčí Červené Poříčí country house is a unique example of Saxon Renaissance architecture in the Plzeň region. The house was built in 1611 by Mikuláš Šic of Drahenice in the place of an older fort. In 19th century it belonged to the Austrian Imperial family and after the creation of Czechoslovakia it came into the possession of the state. The integrity of the house was never damaged by later reconstructions and even though it is currently undergoing necessary restoration it is opened to the public several times a year. Here you can witness the process of a restoration of a historic structure as it happens. We aim to present it as a historic residence situated in a cultural landscape, show its style evolution with examples from different eras and show the restoration works on both structures and artworks. +420 376 393 022 cerveneporici@npu.cz www.cervene-porici.cz
