Plzeňský kraj Kozel The Neoclassical hunting lodge was built in late 18th century under the guidance of master builder Václav Haberditz for Jan Vojtěch Černín. It is a four-wing single storey building with a rectangular courtyard; its later extensions – chapel, riding school, servants quarters and stables were designed by Ignaz Palliardi. The whole site is surrounded by a large natural landscape park. Kozel is one of the most popular and most visited historic buildings near Plzeň. The visitors appreciate not only the authentically furnished interiors but also a series of annual concerts and regular exhibitions of works of leading artists in the Riding School.
