Plzeňský kraj Velhartice The castle stands on a promontory above the left bank of the Ostružná River and was built there on the turn of 13th and 14th century by the lords of Velhartice. Both parts of the castle are connected by a Gothic stone bridge which offers beautiful views. Next to the Paradise House is a Late Renaissance style wing with original arcades. The Castle Tour will show you the castle’s history and the medieval way of life and the Residence Tour presents a life of a noble family in mid-17th century.
