Středočeský kraj Gardens below Prague Castle The south slope under the Castle kept evolving from the middle ages until 19th century. Today you can see remnants of Gothic era fortifi cations, kitchen gardens of Renaissance palaces and decorative Baroque fl ower parterres. Beautiful architecture intersects with natural nooks, the terrain augmented by fountains, staircases and passageways, gloriettes and loggias offers stunning views of the city. The gardens form the green foundation of one of the most famous Prague veduta – the view of Prague Castle. The Ledebour garden with a gallery and a sala terrena is connected to the palace which is now home to the Directorate general of the National Heritage Institute.
