Zlínský kraj Buchlov Buchlov is one of the most signifi cant structures of Czech early Gothic period. It was founded by the Czech king as a strategic fortifi ed castle and an administrative centre with judging privileges and a so-called hunting right in the fi rst half of 13th century. In the late 15th century it was owned by the lords of Cimburk who built the Knights’ Hall in the late Gothic style and there were also some later alterations in the Renaissance and Baroque era. The last owners of Buchlov were the Berchtolds who owned it from 1800 to 1945. Today you can see authentic interiors and collections of Egyptian artefacts and natural history as well as a large library. +420 572 595 161 buchlov@npu.cz www.hrad-buchlov.cz
