Fort II - Radíkov Of the planned group of fortresses on Svatý Kopeček, only the construction of the werk in Radíkov was realized. The construction of the adjacent road and two military wells in Samotíšky are closely related to the construction of this object. The Radíkov fortress is completely different from all other Olomouc forts. The building consists of a massive earthen rampart with open artillery positions and is without a redoubt. In front of the rampart there was a dry moat protected by three caponiers. Each of these was connected to the interior of the fortress by a covered passageway, passing through the earthwork and leading to a communication ditch in the centre of the fortress. The passages from the inner barracks building also led to this ditch. The Radík fortress was in active service until 1894, when it was sold at auction. Nowadays, Werk II is privately owned. There is a fort museum at the fort.
