Klášter Osek Kostel sv. Floriana Loreta Rumburk Panenský Týnec Religious Monuments Klášter v Kadani Louny St Stephen’s Cathedral in Litoměřice Today, the Cathedral is an early-Baroque building equipped with highly precious and uniform furniture. It is over 20 meters high and 50 meters long, and its tower reaches heights of 65 meters. A bishop’s residence, an Italian-style palace building, is located behind the Cathedral. Franciscan Monastery with the Church of Fourteen Holy Helpers in Kadaň The chapel was originally built on the town’s former execution ground. The first written mention of the chapel dates back to 1470. Four years later, the Franciscan Order ventured into the town and started their preaching and missionary activities. A monastery was founded. St Nicholas Church in Louny This is the most significant architectural sight in and the gem of the town of Louny. Originally the parish Church of the Raising of the Holy Cross was one of the richest in the entire Kingdom of Bohemia; unsurprising because the founder and patron was the King himself. After a devastating fire, the church was reconstructed in the Gothic style, a 60-metre tower was raised, and the church was given the name of the patron of merchants – St Nicholas. Osek Cistercian Monastery The history of this Monastery dates back more than 800 years. Today, it is a cultural and tourist centre offering views into the past from Romanesque times over the Gothic all the way to the Baroque. Unfinished Gothic Church of the Virgin Mary in Panenský Týnec An unfinished church stands in Panenský Týnec near Louny, the most mysterious village of the Ústí Region. The construction seems very impressive thanks to the alleged zone of positive energy that is said to be able to make people feel better and imbue them with life and vigour. It is nicknamed 'the church of the good mood'. Church of St Florián in Krásné Březno This Church is a unique remnant of the so-called Saxon Renaissance. To this day, the architectural style of the Church has been preserved almost completely undisturbed. Loreto Chapel in Rumburk The Loreto Chapel in Rumburk is among the most valuable holy houses in the Czech Republic due to its stucco and sculpture decorations.
