OBJECTS Metamorphoses of Nature: Organic Morphology Tureen with lid, after 1900 Pfeiffer Löwenstein, Ostrov nad Ohří (Schlackenwerth) Porcelain with a partly blue ground, gold-painted; height 17 cm After 1900, the porcelain factory in Ostrov nad Ohří (Pfeiffer Löwenstein, Schlackenwerth) produced luxury dinner services in Art Nouveau style. The firm actively collaborated with some of the designers and manufacturers from the Wiener Werkstätte circle (production of tableware modelled on the designs of Josef Hoffmann). The company also supplied biscuit ware to the Porzellanmanufaktur of J. Böck in Vienna, where it was decorated after the designs of Dagobert Pech, Otto Prutscher and others.
